Resources on IPE/IPP

Universities throughout the U.S. and the world have developed IPE and IPP initiatives in order to prepare professionals to conduct collaborative practice within the scope of many health and education disciplines. We reviewed numerous IPE and IPP programs and centers internationally. Some have highly developed IPE and IPP centers, while others are less extensive with basic tools to implement IPE. For example, the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the University of Washington (UW) are well established programs in which they incorporated IPE and IPP throughout the curriculum for health professionals. Through our survey, we developed a resource table including the following components: (a) program name, (b) scope of disciplines, (c) summary, (d) competencies, and (e) future initiatives. A sample of the resource table is below, with a link to the complete results of our review in a downloadable pdf.
